National School Closure from Friday

Parents may have seen the latest government announcement that schools across the country will close at the end of Friday 20 March until further notice.

There was also an announcement about provision to be put in place for children of key workers and vulnerable students. We will communicate further about this when we receive guidance from the government/Department of Education about how this will work.

The rest of this week

Our intended opening for Thursday 19 March and Friday 20 March is as follows:

Hampton Lakes Primary School – Open

Hampton College Primary Phase – Open

Hampton College Secondary Phase – Closed to Years 7,8,9,10 and 12

Open to Year 11 and Year 13

Hampton Gardens School – Closed to Years 7,8, 9 and 12

Open to Year 13 – but please report to the Hampton College site

Free School Meals

Please see the communication from the individual schools about provision of free schools meals during the next two days. We are awaiting details from the government about how this will work after this week.

Finally,

Please do not send your child in to school if they have the following symptoms

• A high temperature (37.8 degrees and above)

• A new, continuous cough
